James Stuart continued his fine form following his return to the club by hitting 98 in Town’s imposing total of 264-7.

Spinner Duncan Heath then claimed 5-23 from 13 overs as Doncaster completed a 151-run win.

The victory saw Town move up to fourth in the ECB Yorkshire South Premier League standings.

Stuart’s knock, off 115 balls, included ten fours and two sixes.

He was supported by James Ward (44) and Stuart Guy (29) before Graeme Attenborough hit a quickfire 35 from just 16 balls.

Only three Whitley batsmen reached double figures as they toiled against Doncaster’s varied attack.

Heath was the chief destroyer but captain Luke Townsend also claimed 3-14 as the visitors stuttered to 113 all out.

Doncaster are on their travels this weekend.

They vist Wickersley Old Village on Saturday and go to Aston Hall on Bank Holiday Monday.
