Driver who hit 12-year-old boy urged to come forward

POLICE would like to speak to a woman who hit a 12-year-old boy with her car after he ran out into the road.

The crash happened at 7.30pm on Saturday along Tickhill Road in Maltby and meant the boy needed stitches to his right ear.

The woman driving the car stopped to check the boy was not injured before leaving the scene, but now South Yorkshire Police would like the speak to her to assist with their enquiries.

Officers are also appealing for other witnesses to come forward, and are keen to talk to the driver of a vehicle believed to be following the car shortly before the collision.
