The winning team was Denton & Nickels completing the race in 55.32 seconds, 2nd was Pennine Paddlers and 3rd Rampton Raiders.

Richard Young, organiser from Visit Doncaster said: “Each team actually nominates their own charity, so there are a variety which are special to their hearts.”

The dragon boat race is in its ninth year of raising money for charities, normally the occasion would last well into the late afternoon but as there was a certain football game happening yesterday the races finished by 3pm.
