Joyce said: “We are lucky to receive very generous donations of all sorts of items but I think this is the first time we’ve ever had rare breed sausages.

“We run a breakfast drop-in session every Friday morning from 9.30am–10.30am at our Sunny Bar offices in Doncaster town centre so the sausages are absolutely perfect for that. They enable us to provide a hearty breakfast for anyone who pops in for what might be their first hot meal in several days.”

She added: “We’re hugely grateful to the donor, who we respect wishes to be nameless, for one of the tastiest donations to date. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them publically for their generosity and support, it means such a lot.”
