Doncaster's first sixth form college a £20m construction
A first sixth form college for Doncaster will have specified learning zones based around a multi-functional hub.
Designed by Ryder Architecture, New College Doncaster will also have informal learning areas, social spaces and extensive sports facilities.
To be built in Auckley on playing fields off Hayfield Lane, the college construction will cost around £20 million.
Leon Riley, principal designate of the planned college, said: “In educational terms September 2017, when we open to students, is just around the corner.
“The look and feel of the New College Doncaster will be extremely important as our state of the art facilities will be the perfect base from which we deliver outstanding educational opportunities for young people.”
The New Collaborative Learning Trust under which the New College Doncaster will operate, also runs the New College Pontefract.
