We named Cask Corner, the Tut 'n' Shive, The Salutation, The Plough, Marketplace Alehouse and Deli, the Corner Pin and The Flying Scotsman Tap in our top seven town centre watering holes.

But it seems plenty of you have your own favourite boozers.

Here's the pubs that you think are worthy of an inclusion as the cream of the crop.

The East Laith Gate pub is renowned for live music and a lively atmosphere. Rachael Mills Shakir was disappointed with its exclusion from our list and wrote on Facebook: "Where's horse and groom??! Love horse and groom!"

Masons Arms

This traditional Market Place pub was noted by many readers as a noticeable omission - its maze of rooms and real ales make it a pub worth seeking out. Iain Burkinshaw recommended it, along with Biscuit Billys on Silver Street.

White Swan

Once famed for its tall bar, this long narrow pub is a little off the beaten track, sitting on its own right at the end of Frenchgate. Sarah Vernon was one of a number of readers who thought it should make our list, along with Matty Banks.

Another hidden gem is the Doncaster Brewery Tap, tucked away on Young Street and another haunt for real ale buffs. Ian Blaylock, who runs the bar said: "Doncaster Brewery & Tap is Doncaster CAMRA pub of the year this year."

Black Bull

Famed as the pub run by Rovers legend Alick Jeffrey after hanging up his boots, another traditional watering hole in the Market Place was favoured by several. Paul Bowland described it as a good pub for a Saturday afternoon shift.

Red Lion

The Market Place pub has been given a new lease of life by Wetherspoons after a £6.3m overhaul last summer. Transformed from dowdy and dusty to vibrant and sparkling, it is now packed morning, noon and night.

The Leopard

James McLatchie put forward this popular live music haunt for inclusion. Again, slightly off the beaten track in West Street, the sprawling corner pub has welcomed the likes of Travis, Kasabian and Snow Patrol on their rise to fame.
