Talented young performers from Doncaster wowed the audience when they took to the stage in London’s West End for a special show.
Students from Stagecoach Theatre Arts Doncaster put on a musical spectacular called ‘A Taste of Tarzan’ featuring the songs ‘You’ll Be In My Heart’ and ‘Two Worlds’ at the iconic Her Majesty’s Theatre.
The troupe had been practising their routines for weeks and joined 260 other pupils from Stagecoach schools across the country in their taste of West End stardom on Sunday, June 19.
Principal Nick Plummer-Walsh praised the youngsters and added: “The students were incredibly excited to go to London and perform.
“They have shown real dedication to practicing their lines and learning their moves and it certainly paid off.
“No matter whether students dream of being West End stars or they sing, dance and act for fun, performances like this are a huge confidence booster and there is a great sense of camaraderie and achievement among those who took part.”
Her Majesty’s Theatre has famously played host to the popular musical Phantom of the Opera since 1986.
Stagecoach Theatre Arts Doncaster is part of a network of more than 600 part-time theatre arts schools across the world.
