A teenage girl ran off after being approached by two men in a car in Doncaster.

The girl told South Yorkshire Police that she was outside a house in Appleton Way, Scawthorpe, when a white BMW pulled up and two men began making suggestive remarks.

She said the driver got out of the car during the incident.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 8.25am on Saturday, May 7 to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the Appleton Way area of Doncaster.

"It is reported that the vehicle, believed to be a white BMW, approached a teenage girl outside a property in Appleton Way.

"The occupants of the car, two men, are believed to have made suggestive comments towards the girl before the driver is reported to have got out of the car.

"The girl ran away and the driver got back into the car and drove off.

"No threats were made and the girl was not injured, though she has been left shaken by the incident."
