Doncaster Rovers sign Norwich City goalkeeper Remi Matthews on loan
Doncaster Rovers have confirmed the signing of Norwich City goalkeeper Remi Matthews on loan until the end of the season.
The highly-rated 22-year-old has not yet played a first team game for the Canaries but has spent two spells on loan at Burton Albion and signed a new two-year deal with the Premier League last summer.
Matthews' addition to the squad follows a costly error by Thorsten Stuckmann last weekend, which gifted Peterborough United victory in stoppage time.
Rovers boss Darren Ferguson said yesterday that he fully expected to make one signing before today's 5pm loan deadline but could potentially add another new face ahead of tomorrow's trip to Colchester United.
