Doncaster Rovers: Player ratings from draw at Peterborough

Rovers' star man: Herbie Kane
Rovers' star man: Herbie Kane

Rovers turned in a superb performance to end Peterborough United’s 100 per cent record and were unfortunate to not take all three points from London Road.

Here is how we rated the individual performances from an impressive afternoon.

Marko Marosi 6

A surprisingly quiet afternoon for the Rovers keeper who showed good distribution to maintain his side’s high tempo

Niall Mason 7

Marked his 100th competitive appearance for the club with a fine performance that saw him contribute at both ends of the pitch.

Tom Anderson 7

A superb performance deputising for the injured Joe Wright. Headed away everything and showed excellent composure in meaningfully clearing the lines.

Andy Butler 7

Solid as ever to help ensure there was little threat from Peterborough throughout, dealing with counterattacks very well.

Danny Andrew 7

A very good performance, particularly going forward. Got plenty of dangerous crosses into the box as well as shooting himself.

Herbie Kane 9

Another brilliant performance from a real star in the making. His composure on the ball is well above League One level.

Ben Whiteman 8

Increasingly vital to how Rovers play due to his all action nature, getting into important positions at both ends of the pitch.

Tommy Rowe 7

Improving all the time. Really helps to push Rovers up the pitch and keep pressure on in attacking areas.

Mallik Wilks 7

Strong running put the pressure on for Rovers but his composure in front of goal let him down on a couple of occasions.

John Marquis 7

Took his goal superbly well and arguably could have had more. Gradually sticking more to the middle of the front line but still working incredibly hard.

James Coppinger 7

His composure and ability to slow down the play is vital for Rovers, particularly as they look to maintain territory high up the pitch.

Alfie May 6

Buzzed around in the final third as Rovers pushed for a winner but struggled for opportunities on goal.
