The pair have both signed new one-year extensions to keep them at the club until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Rovers say the deal to keep Coppinger on will make him the first player in the history of the club to play for them for 13 seasons.

Coppinger celebrated his testimonial at Doncaster and became the club’s leading all-time appearance maker last year.

The 35-year-old has recently been troubled with an ankle injury and will be forced to sit out tomorrow’s vital home game with Shrewsbury Town.

Tyson, 33, finished top scorer last year following his first season at the club. He has scored six times this term.
