'He is survived by my beautiful and courageous sister Marie and their two amazing boys Aaron, 15 and Ryan, 13.

'Nidge's family was his utmost priority and proudest achievement.

'He was an avid football fan, particularly Doncaster Rovers. He never missed an opportunity to see a match and rarely went out in public without his beloved Rovers shirt.

'Nidge appreciated the simple beauty of his life and every one in it. He gave his all expecting nothing in return. This is a fact now set in immortal stone.
