Doncaster Rovers face masks sell out days after going on sale

Doncaster Rovers fans have flocked to buy dozens of club coronavirus face masks with stocks selling out within days of going on sale.

The club began taking orders for the masks so fans can show off their allegiance to the club during the coronavirus pandemic last week.

The reusable masks went on sale through the club’s online store at £5.99 or £10 for two but are already out of stock.

Earlier this month, Rovers, along with more than a dozen EFL clubs, voted to end the League One season prematurely after a war of words broke out between some teams who wanted to play on and others who wanted to quit.

There has been no announcement yet when the new season will be able to restart, or whether fans will be allowed into stadiums to watch games.

The Premier League and Championship have both restarted, but with matches taking place in empty stadiums.
