Doncaster Rovers could welcome neighbours Scunthorpe United to the Keepmoat in the second round after beating Ebbsfleet United at the weekend.

But the derby will only be set up if Scunthorpe manage to come through their replay with League One rivals Northampton Town at Glanford Park next Tuesday.

Primarily, Ferguson was delighted for Rovers to be drawn at home for the next stage, which will take place on the weekend of December 1.

"It's a home draw," Ferguson said. "It's all I wanted.

"You'd like to think any game in this round is winnable, which it is.

"It could be a derby, it could be on the box. If it is Scunthorpe I would say it's one of the ties of the round really.

"Both teams we've played this season and unfortunately we've lost 1-0 to them both.

"It's a home tie and that's all you can really ask.

"We'll put it to bed because we've obviously got some important league games before then.

"Certainly if it's a derby in the FA Cup you'd think it'll be a good atmosphere and a game to look forward to really."
