The League One club has announced plans to admit under 16s free of charge in 2018.

They have also slashed season ticket prices and launched ‘Challenge 1000’ in an attempt to boost attendances and improve the matchday atmosphere.

“The kids aren’t part of the Challenge 1000, it’s additional to them,” said chief executive Carl Hall.

“Every game under 16s go free.

“We believe if we can get kids hooked then that’s our next generations of fans. We know we need to entertain them when they get here and not just with rugby.”

An adult season ticket would have cost £150 this year, but next season the price will be just £30 - if 1000 or more are sold.

If they sell less than 500, the price is £60.
