Doncaster pub quiz raises money for children’s hospice

The Glasshouse pub in Doncaster has raised £1,507 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice by holding a smartphone quiz.

Regulars of the Glasshouse’s Sunday Night quiz decided were allowed to enter teams of any size to answer quick fire questions using their phones.

Melanie Rose, fundraiser at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said: “We provide specialist care and support for more than 250 families, both in our hospice and in the community.

“We’re extremely lucky to have so much support from people like The Glasshouse and its customers who raise awareness of the work of our hospice.

“It costs £4 million a year to keep our doors open and we receive less than 10 per cent government funding.”
