Doncaster pop star Louis Tomlinson up for two Brit awards

Doncaster pop sensation Louis Tomlinson and his One Direction band-mates will be bidding for more Brits glory at tonight's glittering music awards ceremony.

One Direction have been nominated in the Best Britsh Group and Best British Video categories at tonight's bash at London's 02 Arena.

The band are bidding for their sixth Brit award after scooping the Best British Video award at the 2015 ceremony for You & I.

The group have won four other Brits previously - picking up Best British Single in 2012 for That’s What Makes You Beautiful and best video in 2014 for Best Song Ever.

They have also won two Brits Global Success prizes.

They are up against Blur, Coldplay, Years and Years and Foals in the band category and Adele, Calvin Harris & Disciples, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Little Mix, Naughty Boy ft Beyonce and Arrow Benjamin, Sam Smith and Years and Years in the video category.

The show will be screened on ITV from 8pm.
