Doncaster pop star Louis Tomlinson to replace "stressed" Mel B on America's Got Talent?
Doncaster pop sensation Louis Tomlinson is poised to replace Mel B as a judge on America's Got Talent as she goes through a "stressful" divorce, according to reports.
According to national newspaper reports, Simon Cowell is lining up the One Direction star as a suitable stand-by to take Mel's place.
The Spice Girls star has been a judge on the US talent show since 2013 when she replaced Sharon Osbourne on the panel.
But now it looks like Mel's divorce from estranged husband Stephen Belafonte could affect her future on the show.
It was confirmed earlier this year that the pair were splitting after almost ten years of marriage.
As season 12 of America's Got Talent approaches, producers are said to be worried about Mel's commitment to the show.
They add that there are "growing calls" for Louis to join the panel immediately. The 25-year-old acted as a guest judge alongside Mel last year.
