He added: “We’re committed to delivering community healthcare and helping people to get well, local.

“Whenever an opportunity arises to enhance and improve the service we offer our customers, we take it and this new space in the Abbey Shopping Centre enables us to do just that.

“We’ve had a branch in Dunscroft for 11 years so we know many people in the area rely on us for their health and well being.”

He added: “Our new premises are much bigger and more modern than our existing branch, plus, our pharmacist Mark Davison and his team will all be moving across too so customers can expect to be served by friendly, familiar faces.

“There is also better parking making it very convenient for anyone wanting to pop in to collect a prescription, get advice from one of our pharmacists or pick up over-the-counter medicines and toiletries. We look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers.”

Family-owned Weldrick has more than 60 pharmacies across South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
