A spokesman for Friends of Sandall Park, the volunteer group which looks after Sandall Park said: “This is for everyone's safety and well being, we know the virus can remain on hard surfaces for 72 hours.

“We don't know about the play areas as yet, but if you see that they've been fenced off too - it means they're out of bounds for the time being.”
