Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton has been guest speaker at this month’s Dementia Forum held in the town.
Rosie attended the event, organised by the Doncaster Dementia Forum, at Forest Gate, part of Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).
The Forum, which meets on the second Wednesday of the month, is open to people with dementia, their carers and anyone with an interest in dementia.
Organiser and Chairman of the Forum is Eileen Harrington, also founder of the dementia charity DonMentia and an RDaSH Governor.
Eileen said: “There was a real buzz about the event. It was fantastic. I want to thank Rosie for attending. It’s great because those attending express their views and I can pass those views and feelings on when I attend various other committees representing people with dementia.”
Eileen represents people with dementia on the Borough’s Dementia Action Alliance and on the Dementia Strategic Partnership.
