Craig Barry Meakin, aged 40, of Durham Road, Wheatley Park was ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work as part of his punishment after admitting cannabis production on April 4.
Meakin was found to have 8 plants with a value of £7,200 grown for his own personal use.
He was also ordered to pay £60 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
