Doncaster man convicted of racially abusing neighbours

A Doncaster man has been convicted for racially abusing his neighbours.

Darren Maddocks, 43, of the Intake area appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court on Friday August 31 charged with racially aggravated public order offences against his neighbours.

The young family of four had been receiving racial abuse and threats for a period of time from Maddocks putting them in fear in their own home.

This abuse eventually resulted in them having to move house.

 

Maddocks pleaded guilty and received an 8 week custodial sentence suspended for 12 months, a 20 day rehabilitation order, and was ordered to pay £324 in costs to the victims and £100 in court costs.
