Paul Flint, aged 57, of Glebe Road, Campsall, pleaded not guilty to five charges of indecent assault against the alleged victim.

The abuse is said to have taken place in Derby in the 1980s when the girl was under the age of 16.

He appeared at Derby Crown Court and a trial date was set for June 3 next year and is expected to last up to a week.

Recorder Graham Huston handed Flint unconditional bail.
