Doncaster football centre Goals set to re-open after £750,000 lockdown revamp
A popular Doncaster outdoor football centre is all set to re-open after the coronavirus lockdown later this month after an upgrade.
Goals in Worcester Avenue, Wheatley will kick-off its business again on March 26 – and the firm’s managing director has revealed that pitches across the entire company have been revamped and refurbished during lockdown.
Ian McDermott said: “As we prepare to reopen our pitches again, I would like to take this opportunity reassure you that while your game has been paused, we haven’t been.
"We have been busy preparing and investing in our pitches to ensure Goals continues to be the premium provider of small sided football in the UK.
"We have invested over £750k since April 2020 in the resurfacing of ProTurf pitches across our estate.
"Unique to Goals with an added shock absorbing layer and striped to replicate the surface at Wembley on Cup Final day, ProTurf lets you experience the game like never before
He added: “We look forward to welcoming back over 100,000 of our customers next week and the importance of keeping every one of them safe is our priority.
"Like me, I am sure many of you won’t have been as active as you would have liked over the last three months and while we will all be in a hurry to score our first goal, we recommend that you ease your way back into full fitness.
"As is always the case at every Goals club, we will continue to offer full covid-secure first aid in the unlikely event your team mate is overly keen on that first tackle.”
