Life was a scream for families across Doncaster as they enjoyed a spooktacular range of events to celebrate Halloween.
Shoppers got a fright visiting Doncaster Market on Saturday when they came across a Halloween-themed fancy dress competition.
Youngsters wowed the crowds with their inventive costumes, including Count Dracula and vampire cheerleaders.
Visitors were also invited to have a go at pumpkin carving before taking part in a skeleton hunt around the town centre.
The fun continued for youngsters at St Mary’s Church Hall in Sprotbrough when they gathered for a Halloween party, complete with fancy dress.
Boys and girls at The Warren Nursery in Balby also got in on the spooky fun by dressing up in scary costumes for their own Halloween party.
A magician wowed a crowd of about 40 youngsters with a series of tricks and illusions at the Ivanhoe Centre in Conisbrough.
Sheila Treen, administration assistant at the centre, said everyone who attended had a fun time.
The 59-year-old, of Conisbrough, added: “It was a really brilliant day. It was great to see so many youngsters and their parents enjoying the magic. They loved the tricks and were invited to get involved with the show by dancing along to music.
“They were also impressed with the balloon modelling and each took one home at the end of the day.”
