A concert spokesman said: “Written by Van McCann, Soundcheck is the first taste from the band’s eagerly anticipated new album due for release later in spring.”

Ryan ‘Van’ McCann formed the band with Bibby when they started playing guitar together at Bibby’s parents home in Llandudno in 2007.

Having made a name for themselves as one of the country’s finest live bands, Catfish and the Bottlemen – frontman McCann, guitarist Johnny Bond, bassist Benji Blakeaway and drummer Bob Hall – have a packed summer ahead, including a headline slot at Sheffield’s Tramlines festival.
