The Mind shop in Doncaster town centre was broken in to earlier this month, the second burglary just six months, leaving the staff facing extensive damage and loss of donated stock.

Shop worker Claire O'Neill has called on the public to bring their unwanted goods in to the store to help them replace stock that the thieves stole.

She said: "At this time, we desperately need the support of the local Doncaster community to help us get back on our feet.

"We take clothes, books and electrical goods and urge anyone with pre-loved items they no longer use, to donate.

"Mind relies on the generosity of people donating items to our shops, and each bag of stock we receive is worth an average of £30.

"Even clothes which are dated or lovingly worn are still worth something to us, so please don’t hesitate to dig out things from the very back of the wardrobes long as they are still wearable or usable.

"Items we are particularly interested in include things like books, summer clothes and anything that would make good presents."

The money made in the shop helps to fund the vital work of the mental health charity, such as their information and advice services line Mind Infoline, as well as campaigning for a better life for people with mental health problems.

To donate to the Mind shop in Doncaster please take tems to the store at 107 Beckett Road, DN2 4AD. For more information on the charity please visit mind.org.uk.
