In a post on Facebook, he wrote: “This is the unfortunate world we live in. We’ve had a phone call today from the Council saying they have had several complaints about us delivering food.

“They have explained we’re doing nothing wrong and that it’s great what we are doing, just to make us aware of the complaints and to obviously make sure we are following the rules.

“We’re feeding the elderly and vulnerable and as a registered, inspected professional kitchen we are allowed to do what we are doing.

“We’re not doing this for profit and we’re actually losing money. After discussing with my wife and daughters we have thought about this long and hard and we have taken the unfortunate decision...to carry on with exactly what we’re doing and feeding the people that want feeding in these difficult times.”

“Complaints can be written in writing to ‘go **** yourself from Ste @ the tattooed goose.’

“My wife and daughters have been putting their lives at risk to do this. We’ve had one day off since lockdown and we’re more than happy with our contribution to Doncaster and the amazing people we look after.”
