Doncaster apprentices' start work at St Leger Homes housing company

Eleven 'traditional' apprentices will join the housing organisation along with three university students who will take up a one-year work placement with the company.

Young people taking up the traditional roles  will receive training up to NVQ Level 3 in a number of different trades within the repairs and maintenance teams and in a variety of business support roles.

There are two apprentice electricians, an apprentice joiner; an apprentice bricklayer;  and an apprentice gas fitter.

St Leger has also recruited  five business administration apprentices and  St Leger Homes' first degree apprentice will join later in the year.

The three university students on one year work placements will be based in the people development team,  the business transformation and the health and safety.
