THE Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a dinner and dance.

The fundraiser will take place at Doncaster Golf Club in Bawtry Road on Friday, March 30, from 7pm.

The trust, which is one of Doncaster’s oldest and best supported charities, has raised more than £600,000 in conjunction with the Free Press to install a life saving scanner in Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

The fundraiser will also mark the retirement of Jeannette Fish, the founder member of the charity, who was awarded with an MBE in the Queen’s New Years Honours list.

Tickets cost £27 each and are available by calling Yvonne Woodcock on 01302 536142 or by emailing yvonne.woodcock@doncaster.gov.uk
