Former footballer Dean Windass will be holding a sportsman’s dinner to raise money for a village football club.
The ex-pro will be taking the audience through the highs and lows he experienced throughout his playing career at an event organised in aid of Armthorpe Welfare FC.
From starting life out as a trainee footballer with Hull and going on to becoming a Tigers legend, to admitting to battling drink and depression back in 2012, Sky Sports pundit Windass’ footballing career is one certain to intrigue and interest fans of the beautiful game.
During his 18 year professional career Windass also played for several other clubs including Bradford City and Aberdeen.
Top comedian Jed Stone, described as a ‘Premier League entertainer’ will also be part of an evening.
There will be a two course meal and coffee on offer as well as an auction of memorabilia and raffle.
The event takes place at Castle Park in Armthorpe Road, Armthorpe, on Friday, July 12, from 7pm.
Tickets are £40 per person or £400 for a table of ten. Places are limited.
