Danum Eagles on brink of drop after Nottingham defeat
Danum Eagles' relegation fate is out of their own hands following a 73-58 defeat at Nottingham Hoods.
The Doncaster club must now hope that Liverpool lose to bottom side Newham Neptunes this weekend to stand any chance of surviving the drop from Division Two of the National League.
The Hoods won the first quarter by seven and the third quarter by nine. Despite a positive second quarter, Eagles ran out steam later in the game.
Mathew Martin led the Eagles with 16 points, along with Josh Metcalf (14), Paul Walsh (10) and Tom Hodson (10).
Eagles’ under 18s enjoyed a good win at home to York, 89-72. Sonny Singh scored 28 points.
Harrison Bell (36) led the under 16s to a 90-75 win over York.
