Crowle stroke victim shows appreciation

A double cheque presentation took place at Val Janssen’s Crowle home show her appreciation of treatment she received after suffering a stroke earlier this year.

Along with daughter Paula Buttrick and friend Lynn Whalley, a cheque for £575 was donated to the Stroke Unit at Scunthorpe Hospital and £250 was given to Lindsey Lodge Hospice. The money was raised at a Christmas Craft Fair at Ealand Victory Hall and a Fashion Show at Crowle Village Hall. Val, of Eastoft Road, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who supported us at these events.”
