Police say they stopped a red Vauxhall Astra on Radburn Road, Rossington, on May 7, due to information suggesting it was involved with drug supply and weapons.

A police spokesman said: “A female driver and male passenger were inside the car. On initial contact, a small hand axe was found in the driver's side door along with a wheel brace.

“Both the car and occupants were searched.
