Woman, 63, dies in Doncaster tractor crash

A 63-year-old woman has died in a tractor crash in Doncaster.

At 11.50am yesterday (Thursday, November 5) it is reported that a green tractor with a single axle trailer attached to it was involved in a collision with the 63-year-old woman, a pedestrian, on Newton Lane in Spotbrough.

It is understood that the tractor and trailer were reversing onto Newton Lane at the time of the collision.

The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been notified and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

A 30-year-old man driving the tractor was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Witnesses or motorists that may hold dash-cam footage are asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 377 of 5 November 2020.
