Why police stopped this truck on the M18 at Doncaster today

Police stopped a van on a Doncaster motorway today – because it was carrying dangerous load.

The white pick-up was seend by traffic officers on the M18 while they were on patrol, and escorted to weighbridge.

A spokesman said a mumber of load and weight offences were identified. It was 29 per cent over its weight limit – which is classed as dangerous.

The spokesman added: “Points and fines await for the driver and vehicle issued with an immediate prohibition to prevent it going any further.”
