Raiders forced their way into the Phoenix Charity Shop in Priory Place in the early hours of last night to make off with a collection box.
The charity helps victims of domestic abuse and violence.
Announcing the break-in in a post on Facebook, a spokesman said:
“Well, we are speechless.

"All for a collection box full of small change.
"Currently pulling CCTV footage, but if anyone has any information at all please get in touch.”
Volunteers came in early to help clean up the mess and the shop was able to open as normal at 10am.
Anyone with information can contact the shop or South Yorkshire Police on 101.
