This is the scene on a Doncaster street, after an incident late last night that led to a 30-year-old woman being found with serious head injuries.

Police were called to Abbott Street at 11.41pm last night (Thursday 3 December) where the woman was found outside a property.

She was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious condition with head injuries.

A 32-year-old man was arrested from the scene on suspicion of domestic assault and remains in police custody.

South Yorkshire police's Crime Scene Investigation team are currently on the scene as the investigation continues.
