Two sentenced for deliberately coughing at police in Doncaster

Police said the women deliberately coughed in the faces of PCs during two seperate incidents in the town.

They have both since appeared in court charged with assault and been sentenced.

One woman was given a five-week jail sentence, while the other was handed a 20-week suspended sentence.

No further details are known at this stage.

There have been several reports nationwide of people deliberately coughing and spitting at police.
