Two more teenage boys charged with murder after Doncaster shooting

Two teenage boys have become the latest suspects to be charged with murder following the fatal shooting of Lewis Williams in Mexborough.

The boys, aged 15 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons because of their age, were charged on Wednesday evening and were due to appear before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court today.

Four other people, including two boys aged 16 and 17, have been charged with murder.

They include Jack Parkes, of Arnold Crescent, Doncaster and Ryan Nisbet of Springwood Road, Barnsley, both aged 20.

All four are currently on remand awaiting further court appearances.

A post mortem examination revealed Lewis, aged 20, was shot in his neck and face.

Medics battled to revive him in the street but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ten people have been arrested in connection with his death so far, with six suspects charged.
