Two men appear in court after man attacked with weapons in Doncaster

Two men have appeared in court after being charged with assaulting another man with weapons in Doncaster.

Thomas Spouse, 21 and Michael Spouse, 22, have both been charged with assault and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident in Intake last week.

At around 4pm on April 8, a 43-year-old man was reportedly attacked with weapons outside an address in Lonsdale Avenue.

The incident resulted in the man needing hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.

Photos of the incident last week showed police officers guarding the scene and the front of a property sealed off with police tape and road cones.

Thomas of Aylesbury Road and Michael of Lothian Road were both charged with Section 18 Assault and Possession of an Offensive Weapon and appeared before court on Saturday.

Michael was remanded in to custody and Thomas was bailed. Both will next appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 10 May.
