Two arrested after man assaulted with weapons at Doncaster house

Two men have been arrested and remain in police custody after a man was assaulted with weapons at a Doncaster house.

Police were called to the address in Lonsdale Avenue, Intake yesterday afternoon following the attack.

Officers said two men have been arrested after a 43-year-old man was attacked.

The assault is reported to have taken place at 4pm and resulted in the man needing hospital treatment.

The men, aged 21 and 22, were both detained on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody at this time.

Photos from the scene – near the junction with Lothian Road, show the front of the property sealed off with police tape and cones with officers and a police van guarding the scene of the incident, just off Leger Way.
