Two arrested after man and his young granddaughter ‘struck by quad bikers’ in Doncaster

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a man and his young granddaughter were injured after allegedly being struck by quad bikers in the Doncaster area.

The alleged incident took place on Selby Road in the Askern area on Tuesday, May 5.

A 67-year-old man and a four-year-old girl both suffered minor injuries. A video of the events has also appeared on social media.

On Wednesday, warrants were conducted in Highfields and Adwick and two quad bikes believed to be involved in the incident were seized.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH with intent, in relation to an incident where persons were allegedly driven at by riders of quad bikes in the Askern area earlier this week.”
