Three Doncaster people arrested on the same day by response officers on suspicion of shoplifting have been charged with multiple theft offences.

Claire Wood, 44, and Leon Bell, 42, both of Beckett Road, Wheatley, have been charged with four and eight thefts, respectively, after their arrests last Friday (5 July).

Louis Robson, 31, of Riviera Parade, Bentley, has also been charged with one count of theft after being arrested the same day.

The trio have been accused of stealing more than £500 worth of goods from local businesses, with Bell remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance before Doncaster Magistrates' Court on 31 July.

Wood and Robson have been released on bail and are next due to appear before Doncaster Magistrates' Court on 22 July and 10 September, respectively.
