Thugs barged past elderly Doncaster woman with dementia in terrifying burglary

An elderly Doncaster woman with dementia was left injured after cruel burglars targeted her home for the second time in a year.

Police have released brief details of the incident, describing the incident as a ‘horrible crime’ and urging people with information about any burglary in Doncaster to come forward to police.

DCI Jamie Henderson, Crime Manager for Doncaster, tweeted: “Burglary is a horrible crime.

"I’ve just spoken to a son whose elderly mum has been broken into.

"She has dementia and they have barged past her, causing her to bang and cut her arm.

"She had very little to steal as this is the second time they have attacked her home this year.

"If you know who is committing these offences, how they are getting to and from the locations and who is buying the stolen property, then please get in touch and helps us tackle these individuals.”
