Three teenagers arrested after man is assaulted at Doncaster pub

Three teenagers have been arrested after a man suffered facial injuries after being assaulted at a Doncaster pub.

Police were called to the Harvey Arms in Finningley at around 7.30pm on Sunday following reports of an assault.

On arrival at the pub in Old Bawtry Road, officers found a 55-year-old man with injuries to his face and arm.

Two 16-year-old boys and one 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of assault.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “They have been released under investigation.”

A post on the pub’s Facebook page said that last weekend was its first weekend back in business following the re-opening of pub beer gardens after the coronavirus lockdown.

It described the weekend as ‘very busy.’

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a number of police cars and an ambulance at the scene following the incident.
