Residents in Hexthorpe have been experiencing regular power cuts over the past few months and following partnership work with Northern Power Grid and Doncaster Council, a number of houses in the area have been identified as possible cannabis growing sites.
Doncaster’s Central Neighbourhood Team led yesterday’s raid.
Inspector Mark Payling, in charge of the operation said: “We’ve listened to concerned residents from Hexthorpe and have invested significant resources in tackling this issue. We will not tolerate electricity supplies being bypassed, the impact this has on residents in the area is substantial and unfair.
