Suspected burglar seriously injured in fall from the roof of Doncaster petrol station

A suspected burglar has been seriously injured in a fall from the roof of a Doncaster business.

The man was believed to have fallen through the roof while to trying to get into the property when he fell through the roof in the early hours of this morning.

Paramedics were called out and he was take to Doncaster Royal Infirmary for treatment.

South Yorkshire Police have today issued a statement about the incident.

They stated: “Officers were called to a petrol station in Edlington, Doncaster, at 3am this morning (July 17) after a neighbour alerted police to the alarm sounding at the premises in Edlington Lane.

“A 42-year-old man was found injured at the scene. It’s believed he had fallen from the roof of the petrol station.

“The man, from Doncaster, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary. He remains in hospital at this time after suffering a serious head injury.”
