Police arrested the 22-year-old on St Sepulchregate on June 3 for possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.

Sgt Steve Roberts, of the Doncaster central neighbourhood team, said: “He was found in possession of small bags of what officers suspect is spice and some weighing scales. “The man has been released under investigation at this time after being interviewed so that drugs can be tested and evidence submitted in relation to its street value to CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) who will make the charging decision.”

The arrest conviction comes at a time when Doncaster Council is looking at whether it still needs the current Doncaster Town Centre Public Spaces Protection Order, due to finish in November.
